Deleting files in Windows 8 In Windows 8, you don't get a warning when deleting a file, it just goes straight to the Recycle Bin. If you want the warning back, right click on the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop and select the option Properties. In here, you can check the option "Display delete confirmation dialog".
